Are you happy? Do you live a blessed life? Are you living a purposeful life?
If you answered no, you might not be living the biblical standards of a blessed life.
Psalms 1 gives us great structure that we can follow to have the Life Our Lord wants us to have.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psalm 1. 1
Lets look at “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.”
1. We must avoid ungodly advise – (Avoid wicked and ungodly people)
We are children of God. We want to live blessed lives. We must set high standards of what is right and wrong.
Let us remember the bible says “speak the truth in love” (Eph. 4:15).
So very true, to make sure you are seeking Gods word FIRST as your counsel, and his truths as your direction, as opposed to quickly running to your girlfriends, mothers or sisters for advice! Great reminder.
You are right Melissa! I am guilty
. When a problem arose, I picked up the phone and turned to the wrong person for guidance. I actually just created gossip. I should have prayed and turned Our Lord.
I love this psalm for so many reasons. It is a great reminder how to live the Blessed Life the Lord wants us to live!
